Cari Trotter is a passionate follower of Jesus, a Bible teacher and Speaker, the founder of Becoming Ministries, and the mind and heart behind the Becoming App, which is available on Itunes for all. She is best known for her powerful messages, her Monday morning coffee chats on Instagram, and can be found speaking at large conferences and in small, intimate galleries.
What we chat about:
Coming under the awareness of the people God has put into our lives
The mess in the middle, the place that Satan likes to play
How God uses us to fine tune each other and encourage other people
More about Cari’s family and her recent move
Creating content online and creating space to meet iwth women and they are becoming
Being slayed by the reality that we will never really “arrive”
We want a product, but God is interested in a process
Admitting that we are powerless and that our life has become manageable
Becoming ok with change and knowing that God is at the helm
We dont want the trust, because we want the product
We all want the power, but we do not not want the revelation to submit
God can shoulder us.
The story lines that we are obsessed with following are the ones where people have great endurance inside a very messy middle
God’s distributes of power in the messy middle.
Great tension in the middle of the story and the glory that follow that
Medals winners had to place themselves in an exposed place to the enemy, weak and sometimes unsupported, but so believed in the message that they were on…because of their risk and submission, they put themselves in the position for an excedingly great power to come alongside of them so they could accomplish something almost supernatural.
Bossing your spirit into a place where you remember that if we beling to Christ we are always able to see God in things.
Every time we are inviited into a place of change, we are being invited into a space of intimacy
Energy and zeal aren’t easy. The majority of our life is in the mundane and the unseen.
We must take hold with an agressive grip on the Word of God by surrounding ourselves with scripture and saying it aloud and declaring it.
It is up to us to take hold of what God has said.
Understanding our carnality and how quickly we can revert of our own thinking and surrounding ourselves
When we are in denial, we are blocking the promises of God from being effective to heal and mend and the care for our please
As we progress with Christ, we aquire fruit and revelation, but the second we think we have this, it is over.
Don’t you want God to do what God can do?
What it means to be “here for it.”
Everytime we say the we are here for it, we deploy the plans of the enemy to get us to all worked up about our circumstances
God never intended for life to be a missional destination. We do not have to wait to get started in Kingdom work.
We may not want our current circumstance, but we are going to be adament to create a space for God to be at work in it.
Use the space to glorify God and to refine us.
Having the flexibility to be moved without being moved at the core.
Surrendering upfront. Can you be upfront where the bullets are flying, where you may not have the answers or see the end?
Have you done the work so that you are ready to be in an exposed space?
How Cari and her husband are using the idea of a sharp arrow to communicate characteristics to their children and indicate that they are ready to make an impact in the world.
Being an arrow that can penetrate the darkness
Applying God’s power to our everyday lives
The power of words and story and our hope of encouraging others who cannot see any sign of a way
Making room for the Spirit of God to move without trying to control all the details
New projects that Cari is working on…Yah!
The creation of resources and tools that elaborate on the concept of “here for it.”

Bible Verses/Quotes mentioned:
“To think you can love God without being changed by Him is to think you can jump into the ocean and not get wet. To really love Him is the understand that your life is going to be wrecked by Him and being built up again into something beautiful and someting lasting.” Author Unknown
“But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:5
“The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” 1[18:14] – Cari’s life verse
“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” Galations [6:14]
“A coach may influence more people in a year than most will in a lifetime.” Billy Graham
